As parents, you trust us with your children during the day so you can go to work. But what do you do after work when you need some time to yourself? You deserve some time to have a date night, do some shopping, or just stay home to enjoy the peace and quiet for a little while! Enjoy your time worry free knowing your kids are safe and having fun!
The second Friday of every month, we will be open until 8:30pm. Your children will enjoy pizza, crafts, a movie, and fun with friends!
Dates: November 12 -- Get ready for Thanksgiving!! December 10 -- Do your Holiday shopping!! January 14 -- Treat yourself!! (Or put away your decorations without your 2 year old tearing through them, personal experience!!) February 11 -- Valentine's Day date night without the wait times!!
Parent Night Out is available to all local residents from 6 to 8:30pm. The cost is only $25/child, $20 if they are currently enrolled in a Shining Stars program.
**PLEASE NOTE** You must call to register your child before 6pm. We need to know how many children we will have, so we can have the proper amount of staff members to accomodate. When you register, you will need to provide us with some basic information, in case of emergencies. With the exception of November, we will require a $10 non-refundable deposit upon registration. The balance may be paid in cash at sign-in.

Shining Stars is please to announce our annual Hop-A-Thon was held on November 16th and was a great success. Our children worked hard at hopping to raise money for research into Muscular Dystrophy. All of us at Shining Stars are greatful to all who work so hard for such an important cause. On behalf of Shining Stars and the Muscular Dystrophy Association we thank you for your support!
Disability Awareness Week
We Learned That... 1. Everybody is different, nobody is perfect...but all of us are special! 2. Our bodies are amazing and can do lots of things. Every person has different abilities. 3. Some kids have week muscles caused by a disease called muscular dystrophy. This is called a disability. They might use leg braces or wheelchairs, but they still like to play and be friends. 4. There are many kinds of disabilities. People don't have disabilities because they are bad or lazy. You can't "catch" a disability the way you catch a cold. 5. Doctors and scientists are working to help kids and adults with muscular dystrophy. We can help, too, by being in the MDA Hop-a-Thon!
The celebration included hopping for Muscular Dystrophy and the children participated in balloon races, tattoos, watching movies that have been donated by Movie Gallery. We will be sharing donuts donated by Dunkin Donuts, pizza donated by both Jannuzis pizzeria as well as TonysPizza, Gatorade donated by Quaker Oats, cookies donated by Longo's Bakery, and a beautiful cake donated by Price Chopper. We thank you for your support!

We are always open for donations!
There is a young girl named Francesca in Mountain Top that has Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a disorder of the nervous system, that leads to developmental reversals, especially in the areas of expressive language and hand use. All donations that we collect will be donated to the International Rett Syndrome Association in Francesca's name.
In October, we held a Movie Night, where we watched a family friendly Halloween Movie and had a costume contest!
Together we raised $100 to donate in honor of Francesca!
