In honor of our troops, the Shining Stars hosted an "Armed Forces Appreciation Day."They invited soldiers from the Marines and Army to share some fun stories with the children and to tell them about their jobs and responsibilities. The children made special medals for the soldiers as a "thank you for serving our country and protecting us" gift. The Shining Stars school along with the PTA will be putting together a care package to be sent to our troops overseas to show our support.
