Sue Ellen Engelman founder and CEO of Shining Stars has a Masters Degree in Education and taught in public school in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area.  Family relocated to the Mountain Top area do to job relocation for Sue Ellen's husband Rich Engelman. Sue Ellen and Rich have three children who assist in operations and grand children who attend Shining Stars.
Sue Ellen loves being close to children and wanted to continue working in the educational field and so it seemed natural for her to open a day care, Pre-K school.  Shining Stars opened in July 1993 and has serviced the area providing children in the community a great early start and continuation in early education. Sue Ellen believes each child can shine and can learn. Therefore each child being a Shining Star!
Shining Stars provides many services to the community including before school care, after school care, day care and Pre-K educational teaching.
