Shining Stars Toddler Program is a learning program where each child's abilities are stressed to promote positive self esteem.

The primary objective is to build socialization skills, encourage self help skills and develop independence while being introduced to the alphabet, colors, numbers and shapes.

The program incorporates language skills, drama, art, music, always encouraging discovery, exploration and fun.

Children ages 18 months to 36 months are in classes with a ratio of 1 adult for every 5 children. Activities are conducted by our professional staff in 15 minute intervals.

A weekly schedule will be posted in the Toddler Room. Please read and stay informed.

Please clearly mark all clothing and diapers with your child's name. Shining Stars cannot be responsible for unlabeled belongings.

Please let us know when you begin training, we are ready to help.

For sanitary reasons no bottles or pacifiers are allowed in the Toddler Room.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukkah, Valentines Day, Easter and July 4th will be celebrated with special parties. You may celebrate your child's birthday with his/her friends. Please let the supervisor know of your plans.

Books will be selected by our staff from our local library and from our own collection.

Nap time at Shining Stars is from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. daily. All toddlers will be expected to rest at this time.

Please do not bring toys from home. Children at this age are learning to share personal items. Brining toys from home may confuse this process.

If your child comes with a toy you will be asked to take it home. This only upsets the child. Please work with us.

Each child will be provided with a space to hang coats, store extra clothes and mat, and receive and store mail.

Please provide the following items for your child's use. Please make sure all belongings are clearly labeled with their name.
